Amazing, after 40 years of messing about with engines I finally get it. I assume that if you line the magnet on the flywheel up with the trigger coil, the piston will be a few degrees before TDC.

I got a 2 cylinder saw sounds like im cutting trees down with a indy car always brings the motor head guy coming to see whats making that sound I just love it I wished all saws were made this way they need to make them again

Smoke test your engine its the fastest easiest way if the crank seals are bad use a q tip and put brake fluid on the seals and wate a few days and resmoke it will soften and should seal up good day people!!

They need to make them run off a small Propane tank lantern size tank the green color 1s u buy in the camping area thats would fix alot of flooding and just runing problems that come alone with gas trimmers and they burn so clean !!!

The plastic cover off my reverse camera is like the blue or green my flap wont lay flat im going to try and over lay it over my gasket and see if that will work probably just waste some time o well im happy when fixing things or trying to !!

Hello Can a leaking crankshaft seal cause the bike to rev out uncontrollably. I had a bad crash on Saturday during a motocross race and I hit the face of a jump in over rev the bike completely reved out , I’m trying to figure out what happened

This is very interesting! even though I have a DIY channel, my knowledge is not on small engines. I swapped out an old carb with a new one, the primer bulb fills with fuel and the return line pushes fuel back into the gas tank. I'm not howver seeing fuel in the inlet. the engine won't start yet so curious what the issue could be.

Is there a name for the red caseing on this very type of mower - I have one fore about ten years now - a real work horse but the case has developed serious rusting where the case and the handle bolt together. Its a second hand mower I bought for £20 quid and still going strong!!!

Have you ever experienced the pump side of the carb has a very small amount of leakage around the single screw cover when you test the fuel inlet with 7psi of pressure

Question: So when I'm using my mower and I hit a patch of thicker grass which slows down the blade, why does my mower increase the revs, to stop it cutting out? Is this a part of the governor too?

Many thanks was having trouble locating these parts.... I appear to have broken a small sponge like gasket / washer around the shaft of the carb throttle goes on the outside of the carb near where the cables attach to govern opening and closing or speed control - this would prevent ingress of dirt down the shaft but nowhere to be seen as a spare and looks tricky to replace help!

I just bought new grass cutter with this carburator and ir only runs on choke, without choke it idles good too, but when i press the throttle without choke it bugs down fully.
